Today I find it difficult to be inspired to write; mostly because I write about spirituality and personal growth as my two main topics. So, what’s the problem? The problem, so to speak, is that today I am accepting that people do not need anything. We are who we are and we are at where we are at and it is all just fine. I realize that some days we don’t feel “fine”, and some days life seems to use a proverbial 2×4 across the forehead to get our attention, and that is okay too. Whenever I get the 2×4, I know that it would probably be a good idea to check myself because I am very likely getting in my own way. Sure, this happens in different ways, but usually “getting in my own way” means that I am stopping or blocking a natural energy flow that leads to inspiration or guidance. It means that I am probably grasping for control instead of being in my power. And I know that the inner Me doesn’t like it when I do that, lol.
Let’s face it, no one is perfect (based on traditional expectations). But who are we kidding when we try to convince ourselves that we need to be? Wouldn’t it be a hoot if God walked in, looked at you and told you that you ALREADY ARE PERFECT? I think she does do that, and maybe we are not hearing her. And with God’s timing, I’m sure she shows up on those days that you have developed a psychic “lump” on your forehead because you were hit several times with your own 2×4! Feeling less than perfect? Then look around you. Pay close attention because you’ll probably notice the “you are already perfect” message coming your way. Note To Self: Be kind to yourself today.

i like to read this one a lot because i always feel like i have to be perfect and this allows me to be more self-forgiving.
